Welcome to the Mt. Carmel Color Guard and Winter Guard! Under the direction of Jaycee Clarke, the Guard program is among the best in the nation. The group receives high honors in parade, field and Winter Guard competitions. During the Winter Guard season, Varsity competes in the Scholastic A class and Junior Varsity in the Regional A class. In the 2008-2009 season Varsity placed 1st place in regionals and 2nd place in the world.  |

Hello Guard, Parents and friends as I write this article we have just received a sweepstakes award for Auxiliary, congratulations and way to go guard. Hard work does pay off so keep practicing at home as well as your normal class and practice times.
The field season is sadly coming to an end, we've had a great season and a terrific show at "The Mount" congratulations and thanks to all who volunteered to make it happen.
With the field shows behind us we need to move forward and get ready for hosting the Color Guard winter shows February 28th and April 11th, I am in need of a few people help as committee chairs and be responsible for planning and operating that function on the day if you think you can help please call me or send an email (Stephen) . On the day of the sghow we will need several more volunteers to make the day go smoothly without problems or hitches, by volunteering you will receive a "share" of the profits through your student account look for more details in future newsletters/ e blasts and web site postings.
The December dates for the diary are :
JV practice Adobe Bluffs Tuesdays, 6 till 8 and Thursday 2:45 till 4:30 at MC.
Varsity Practice Wednesday's 5 till 9 and Saturdays/ Sundays 9 till 5 at Adobe Bluffs
The Holiday Party is scheduled for Friday the 12th with location and time still to be decided at this time.

Hello, ALL parents and/ or Guardians of Color Guard students, this is a busy time of year finalising props, costumes and flags. Your help is needed. If you cannot sew or work with your hands you can chapperone, if you want to give your student a little space you can help with the props moving on and off the field.
